 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

O man of God flee these things,
Pursue righteousness and love;
Have no pleasure what earth brings,
Only in faith from above,
Of the faith fight the good fight,
Take hold of eternal life;
As being called towards the light,
Strengthen you to thwart the strife.
You make a good confession,
In presence of witnesses;
Of the sins for submission,
All of your injustices.
I charge you in His presence,
The God who gives life to all;
To testify in essence,
That Christ beckons that you call.
Christ gave His testimony,
In front of Pontius Pilate;
To do in patrimony,
And washed his hands of the fate.
Keep the commandment unstained,
Unrebuked free from reproach;
Till our Lord has sustained,
Rule over us to encroach.
He will display at that time,
Who is blessed only sovereign;
The King of kings and the prime,
The Lord of lords who does reign.
Christ has immortality,
Who dwells in the unreached light;
Ultimate vitality,
A pure glory as so bright.
As for the rich in this age,
Charge them not to be haughty;
Uncertain hopes at this stage,
As a tyrant and naughty.
They are to do good with deeds,
Be generous ready to share;
Catering unto the needs,
Of the poor and to give prayer.
Thus, storing up their treasure,
Making a good foundation;
And become a new creature,
Rewarded their salvation.
