 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove
I lifted up my eyes,
Behold I saw a man;
Who looked noble and wise,
And seem to have a plan.

So where are you going,
With a measuring line;
To Zion bellowing,
With his hand holding twine,

Measure the breadth and length,
As an angel arrived;
He said to measure strength,
For Zion has survived.

The angel talked to me,
Another came to meet;
They wanted me to see,
A young man on his feet.

As they told him to run,
That Zion shall be live;
No walls to be done,
For holding them captive.

The Lord to be her wall,
His glory as fire;
For Zion will not fall,
To its foes’ desire.

Up and flee from the land,
Of the north says the Lord;
Take heed to His command,
Let it not be ignored.

For He spreads you abroad,
As the four winds will blow;
Since the Lord is your God,
Where He commands to go.

Escape from where you dwell,
With your son and daughter;
To Babylon farewell,
Go to the pure water.

The nations that plundered,
By the touch of His hand;
That many have wondered,
Sceptic of His command.

Be still before the Lord,
In His holy dwelling;
Being in one accord,
His Word is compelling.
