The Void

I Bet you Always Knew

I bet you always knew the stars would continue to shine.
I wondered if you could put them in your
pocket, or view them from afar.
Shining jewels in the dark skies above, that shimmer endlessly, for all time, as the world
we live on tries to heal with love.
I bet you always thought what it would be like in space; floating around the universe, surrounded by planets, feeling out of place.
I wish we could change, to fix things and rebuild society. I would try to create peace and harmony.
I bet you always thought we would one day fly, like birds of a feather we would soar into the sky.
I bet you thought we would return to the moon. As humanity looks to the future, on a voyage of truth and exploration.
As we continue to wonder what is out there, using our imagination.
Some where in time, we are there. I bet you always thought you'd be part of this some where.
