Poetic-Verses

'' The Colour Of My Face ''

I'm black you're white,
To some it's a mess,
It can cause such a fight,
Bring on terrible stress,
Surely that can't be right,
It is time to address,
The subject we humans call, race.

It's a known fact,
We can do much the same,
Yet how we react,
Can bring on shame,
Our colour being attacked,
This intelligence we claim,
Being honest, it's a total disgrace.

Being used as a slave,
By the one who's all seeing,
Living hell is brave,
Though they're not agreeing,
It's yourself you deprave,
Taking credit for freeing,
Those who desire their space.

In the conflict called war,
We fought as one,
Didn't ask, what for,
It was taken as done,
There's a need to abhor,
The tales being spun,
Racism should be put in its place.

As Sister and Brother,
Is how we should be,
Being true to each other,
Not causing a melee,
It's reality we smother,
It's why we can't see,
The need for us all to embrace.

Don't ever be led,
By the so called superior,
The scum they have bred,
Have motives ulterior,
Our bloods are all red,
With the same interior,
Don't judge by,
