Struggle through life and other things, sometimes on my own
With a vision of peace and heroes of before I don't fear death anymore
I'll face my God and take my chances like many men before
When my day comes and my final moment here will I see my friends again
Will Bobby and Robert greet me, with John and Martin at their side?
There are many others I want to be with, will my mother welcome me
There are many angels in the sky, too many to mention, we'll have to wait and see
My questions for my God above, will my country ever be free
When I meet my lord above will I join the martyrs of my past?
Will he introduce me to the innocent and free that were taken from you and me
Will I say hello to Bobby, Can I walk with Mc Alwee, I'll have to wait to see
Will I meet the Blessed from Derry who were killed and taken to Gods side
Can I sing a song about the town I love, Can I walk in heaven with pride
Can I have a special bedroom with a Galtee mountain view?
My friends from the past that I never met, can I share a song with them?
I want to know if we can come home for a visit just to let our heroes see
How our country has changed so much with peace for you and me
Struggle through life and other things, sometimes on my own
With a vision of peace and heroes of before, I don't fear death anymore
