Praise the Lord, O my soul, The God of compassion; To whom is in control, Flowing love in fashion.
I will sing to the Lord, Praise as long as I live; Remain in one accord, Giving all, I can give.
I will sing praise to God, As I have my being; Giving honor and laud, Desire in seeing.
I put no trust in man, Princes or any kings; Because they have no plan, That His salvation brings.
When His breath would depart, Unto earth He returns; All die for a new start, As everyone learns.
Bless whose help is in God, Whose hope is in the Lord; Curing where they are flawed, His commands not ignored.
He made Heaven and earth, The sea and all the land; All creatures given birth, Spoken by His command.
Who keep faith forever, Who executes justice; A love not to sever, Shines His favor to bless.
Who give food who hungers, Sets the prisoners free; Punishes warmongers, Opens eyes for to see.
The Lord will lift up those, Who bow down as humbled; Adopts the one that chose, Has faith never grumbled.
The Lord watches strangers, The orphan and widow; Shielding them from dangers,
Gives hope for tomorrow. Vote for this poem
