I consider the sufferings, At the present time are not worth; Comparing to the buffering, That your mother had at your birth. Because the glory is revealed, For creation waits for longing; When all of it will be unsealed, Where all of we are belonging. For creation was subjected, To futility unwilling; But hope to be resurrected, For a life that is fulfilling. As creation will be set free, From its bondage to corruption; As children of God and to see, Without tempting interruption. We know that the whole creation, Groans with the pains of childbirth; To have reconciliation, With the Lord while here on earth. The firstfruits of the Spirit, Groan eagerly while we wait; Because faith with our merit, Allows us to seal our fate. For through this hope we have been saved, Now hope that is seen is not hope; Be free from sin that has enslaved, With temptations that we still cope. If we hope what we do not see, We will wait for it with patience; Through our faith helps let us be, For giving us a clear conscience. For he who searches their own hearts, Knows of the mind of the Spirit; Intercedes to His will imparts, Has the key what they inherit. And we know of those who love God, All things work together for good; Cleansing ourselves to where flawed, Blessings when doing what we should. Those whom He predestined are called, And He called to be justified; Heaven will rejoice and applaud, Them being saved by the crucified. Copyright © 2020 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
