Ever Watching Silence
Ever Watching Silence
I just don't get it
I guess I never will
Why some stand in the shadows
Silent and ever still
Like a walk in the forest
With the feeling of being watched
Not a word is uttered
Or a kindness ever touched
I am ever so aware
Of people's actions
Those who lurk in the shadows
With unyielding functions
Have I the plague
Or another awful disease
No one's sole purpose
Of others to appease
But even to those
Who I rendered assistance
Have offered nothing
But quiet resistance
Most have remained
Just silent and cold
But there are some
With viciousness so bold
You know it's funny
How I always find
There is usually just a few
That drive to be unkind
My advice to all
Is to only follow
First hand facts
Pride is so hard to swallow
I walk to life's mirror
And gaze with a clear name
I ask of others
Can each of you do the same
That Ever Watching Silence
I just don't get it

ღ God asked me how long I planned on keeping you in my life.
I smiled and said...
How do I choose between always and forever...
But then I have found that's really not up to me... ღ
