Election 2017

They probably won't
Knock on my door
They don't canvas
Around here any more
History tells us
It's the old, old story
Here in the East Riding
It's a land that Votes Tory.
We are happy to see
The rich  prosper and thrive
Content to take their crumbs
Just grateful to survive.
On the surface of
It may sound rum
But we just can't stand
That socialist Scum.
Pay your fair share of tax
The very idea
Don't I do enough
Just by living here.
If you can't afford to live
Get off your arse and work
Benefit scroungers it's time
You learned not to shirk.
Cut down Income Support
Get out and earn
The way we taught
In despair
And please don't leak it
I sneaked our early and
Voted Labour in secret.
