 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove
Bel bows down, Nebo stoops,
Their idols are on beasts;
As the Holy Spirit swoops,
For attacking their priests.

They bow down together,
Saving not the burden;
As captives they gather,
In distress as they run.

Listen to me O Lord,
Who knew me before birth;
Borne as in one accord,
To sojourn here on earth.

You brought me from the womb,
Saw me through my old age;
And raise me from the tomb,
As gray hair sets the stage.

To whom will You like me,
Make equal and compare;
To be alike You see,
With compassionate care.

Those who do lavish gold,
Weigh silver in the scales;
They fall down as knees fold,
Because a false god fails.

They bear on their shoulders,
The burden they carry;
Setting on the boulders,
As they sat to tarry.

Remember and stand firm,
Recalling it to mind;
Transgressors as long term.
Making of my eyes blind.

Remember things of old,
The one and only God;
Worth more than all the gold,
Another is a fraud.

Bird of prey from the east,
Their counsel from a far;
No rebirth from their beast,
Which comes from a dark star.
