My Shirley Girl

She was a diamond! A heart made of gold.
My Shirley girl got tired and grew old.
She said good came from bad! Never judge small or tall.
My Shirley girl was there for them all.

A mother! A rock! But most of all my best friend.
Shirley girl we loved you right till the end.
I know your only sleeping! Certainly not gone.
My Shirley girls soul will always live on.

Words cannot heal my breaking heart.
The day you left us tore my world apart.
Echo's of your voice! Keep saying be strong.
Stop weeping stop moaning
I will soon be along.

In life you were my rock! In death your my guide.
I promise you Shirley girl my tears I will hide.
Until we meet again I will say my goodbyes.
Make you proud! Make you smile! From there them blue Sky's.
Love forever johnpaul.
