I ask you to respect,
Anyone who labors;
Never try to reject,
On helping your neighbors.
Those that are over you,
And that admonish you;
Listen to and construe,
In the Lord being true.
Esteem them as highly,
In love for what they do;
Humbly respond slyly,
Compliments to pursue.
Always remain at peace,
With yourself and others;
Hostilities to cease,
Against any brothers.
Admonish the idle,
Fainthearted encourage;
Guide them from their idol,
Comfort their suffrages.
Render aid to the weak,
Be patient with them all;
Guiding them what they seek,
Pick them up when they fall.
Pay back not for evil,
Always seek what is good;
Avert from the devil,
By doing what you should.
Always praise and rejoice,
Praying without ceasing;
In song lifting up your voice,
With praises increasing.
Do not quench the Spirit,
Despise not prophecies;
Hold fast to good merit,
Being your legacies.
I put you under oath,
Up in front of the Lord;
As what your faith does quoth,
Being in one accord.
