Two little guinea pigs came on Christmas Day
Charlie and Declan were glad they came to stay,
The boys were so very happy with their surprise
As Cadbury and Milkshake are two cutie pies.
Now Cadbury is Declan`s he`s big and brown
He is quite funny in fact he is a clown,
Altho` he`s the biggest he`s a wimp I have to say
He hears a noise and is the first to run away.
Then comes Milkshake the smallest of the two
He is Charlie`s their love for each other grew,
He is the bravest and more adventurous I think
When he hears a noise from this he will not shrink.
Both were sick and off to the vets they went
Got some medicine then home they were sent,
Cadbury got better but Milkshake suffered on
His respiratory problems seemed to linger on.
So visits to the vets he regularly underwent
It was thought best if for an x-ray he was sent,
It showed two mysterious lumps on his left lung
So over our hearts a heavy shadow hung.
He was weak but we brought him home that day
But only a couple of hours with us did he stay,
Their Mum held him close to comfort him that night
Sadly he drew his last breath as he lost his fight.
Now two heartbroken boys were hard to console
Altho` not long with them their hearts he stole,
Their crying was endless their pain hard to bear
They were just simply a broken hearted pair.
Before school Charlie wrote Milkshake a note
And below in pictures I`ll show you what he wrote,
He carefully folded it and in the envelope it went
Put it in the post box himself to make sure it was sent.
