Have a unity of mind,
Sympathy, brotherly love;
Humbled and in being kind,
With a tender heart thereof.
Pay not evil for evil,
Reviling for reviling;
Working not for the devil,
With attempts of beguiling.
Bless for to what you were called,
That you obtain a blessing;
To keep you from being flawed,
From desires obsessing.
Whoever wants to love life,
Desires to see good days;
Must be prepared for the strife,
That tempts you to go astray.
Refrain your tongue from evil,
Your lips from speaking deceit;
And a cause for an ill-will,
Your true purpose to defeat.
Shun evil for doing good,
Seek peace for pursuing;
For performing as you should,
Avoid any arguing.
God has eyes for the righteous,
His ears are open for prayer;
Those spiritually conscious,
Knowing that the Lord does care.
The Lord is against the dark,
And who is he that will harm;
Those with Satan that embark,
That shows their deceptive charm.
Preserve for righteousness sake,
Because if you should suffer;
Have no fear from a mistake,
Christ is there as to buffer.
To suffer for doing good,
Better with the will of God;
Than to do evil that would,
Anger God to become flawed.
Christ who went into Heaven,
After His resurrection;
The authority given,
Guiding our direction.
