Comfort and console His people,
Speak warmly to Jerusalem;
Comfortably in the temple,
Never to despise or condemn.
Tell her that her war has ended,
Her iniquity is pardoned;
Because the Lord has defended,
Ensuring has not abandoned.
For she has received from the Lord,
His hand double for all her sin;
To return be in one accord,
Avoid what corrupted within.
In the desert prepare the way,
A straight highway for our God;
Do not detour that makes you stray,
But return to honor and laud.
All valleys shall be up lifted,
As every mountain and hill;
Shall are made low and be shifted,
As the glory of God instill.
Uneven ground become level,
And the rough places as a plain;
As the Lord defeats the devil,
As He will return here to reign.
Because the glory of the Lord,
Shall shine while it is revealed;
And it can never be ignored,
As the book of life is unsealed.
All the flesh will see together,
For the mouth of God has spoken;
For they shall see as they gather,
And that their faith is not broken.
What shall I cry all flesh is grass,
The beauty are flowers of the field;
The dew appears to be like glass,
Shining brightly to make a shield.
But the grass withers flowers fade,
When the breath of the Lord has blown;
The cold wind lost beauty displayed,
Since iniquities not atone.
The Word of God stands forever,
As people have withered and died;
For the Word will never sever,
As promised by the crucified.
