Live-streaming

While our pews silently await
               Their congregations to come back...
Ministers are now live-streaming
To keep their people's faith intact.

We listen and we know we're blessed
To be churched in this new way...
But this is God just making sure
His children are okay

The Corona-virus isolates
           Us from our old routine...
But it can't keep the Word of God
                From reaching us live-stream.

Yes,  the devil thinks he's got us
        Really trapped within ourselves...
But he should know our Bibles
Don't get dusty on our shelves!

We still lift our hands in worship...
And our voices ring in song.
But we'll soon return to our own pews
Because that's where we do belong.

But, until then, we'll do
Whatever is expected us to do.
Complying with our leaders
Is obedience to God, too.

Because we know it's for our good
We are told to isolate...
To keep at a safe distance...
This is not up for debate!

So, let's keep waiting and keep praying
That things will soon get back to norm.
But, until then, there is live-streaming
Until, praise God, we're out of harm!

~~Dedicated to all ministers who are live-streaming~~

Romans 10:14-15
14How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in?
And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?
And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?
15And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written
: "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"
