You only have I known,
All families on earth;
God will scold till you moan,
For transgressions since birth.
Do two walk together,
Unless agreed to meet;
In His house you gather,
As each other you greet.
Where does a lion wail,
When he does not have prey;
From his den does he yell,
His roar of no avail.
Do birds fall in a snare,
When there would be no trap;
Does it spring up from where,
Nothing to overlap.
Shall a trumpet be blown,
And people have no fear;
An emergent unknown
Or tragedy is near.
Evil comes to a city,
But God does not appear;
Condole to take pity,
Will it cause you to fear.
Surely the Lord your God,
Does nothing but reveal;
Secrets why you must laud,
As you proceed to steal.
For the Lord does nothing,
Less telling His secret;
To the servants that bring,
Knowledge to a prophet.
For if the lion roars,
Then who would never fear;
Just as the Lord abhors,
And would swiftly appear.
Proclaim to the strongholds,
Gather on the mountains;
A great tumult unfolds,
Oppressed near the fountains.
They know not to do right,
Those who store violence;
Best to stay in the light,
Meditate in silence.
