Abundant Life
I'm still here at this ripe old age,
my, how the years have flown.
But thank God for His granting me
the abundant life I've known.
I've enjoyed fair health and family
good friends who care for me,
and most things that I need in life;
how blessed can one man be?
But it hasn't always been that way
I've had my share of tears.
Yet through them all, I know that God
has blessed me all those years.
But I said goodbye to worldliness
and proceeded, come what may,
leaving behind the vanities
that oft got in my way.
So, this ripe old age I've come to know
bears a modest price as such.
But considering the abundant life I've lived
the cost has not been much.
