If a soul commits a trespass,
Iniquities through ignorance;
The Lord shall forgive the transgress,
Because the Lord has tolerance.
They shall then bring unto the Lord,
As a means for compensation;
An unblemished lamb to afford,
For guilt offering salvation.
They shall make a restitution,
For the harm that they had performed;
And consider a solution,
Enabled in being transformed.
The priest can make atonement then,
That ram for the guilt offering;
Shall be forgiven not condemn,
As the Lord will be buffering.
If you sin what the Lord commands,
Anything that must not be done;
You shall have blood upon your hands,
Even if awareness was none.
Even though you may not have known,
The iniquity you still shall bear;
Standing before the priest alone,
Confession of the crime you share.
An unblemished ram from the flock,
Offers as admission of guilt;
Through confession that you will talk,
Is how your salvation is built.
The priest shall make expiation,
For your unintentional fault;
Erasing of the accusation,
So that condemnation does halt.
The guilt offering for trespass,
With incurred guilt before the Lord;
Confession will then make it pass,
That you can be in one accord.
