I dare to dream that is how I cope
This corona virus can`t rob me of hope,
We all know what these measures are for
But lockdown seems to last forever more.
People are dying from right to left
Leaving family and friends totally bereft,
There is no preference to wealth or age
This virus continues to silently rage.
They say social distancing will last for years
If that is the case then I will cry many tears,
To take you in my arms is what I yearn for
To hold you and kiss you like never before.
The main factor here is to stay safe and well
On the separation time I just can`t dwell,
So I dare to dream we`ll touch again one day
Then nothing will stop me or stand in my way.
