 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

Praise ye the Lord, O my soul,

Praise Him as long as you live;

Allow Him to take control,

Confess and He will forgive.

I praise the Lord for my life,

I will praise the Lord in song;

I will praise Him when in strife,

I will praise when things go wrong.

Put not you trust in princes,

In whom with no salvation;

Because no one convinces,

You as a new creation.

So, when your breath will depart,

You are returned to the earth;

Stopping plans within the heart,

Perishing of all your worth.

Bless is he whose help is God,

And whose hope is in the Lord;

In giving honor and laud,

That He is loved and adored.

He who made Heaven and earth,

The sea and all that is in;

And has given of us birth,

Allowing life to begin.

God who executes justice,

For all those who are oppressed;

Gives food who hungers as thus,

Cures addiction if obsessed.

The Lord sets prisoners free,

He opens eyes of the blind;

Blesses those on bended knee,

And who are humbled and kind.

For the Lord loves the righteous,

Watches over sojourners;

Helping those who are conscious,

Comfort who are returners.

The fatherless and widows,

Relieves them of their concern;

Comforts them of their sorrows,

Supplies to them what they yearn.

The Lord will reign forever,

Throughout all generations;

For His Word will not sever,

Gives faith its inspirations.
