Whoever gives thought to the Word,
Shall find trust and discover good;
Happiness to what has been heard,
Trusting the Lord just as you should.
The wise heart shall be called prudent,
Sweetness of lips increase learning;
Persuasiveness as a student,
In the knowledge you are earning.
Good sense is a fountain of life,
But teaching of fools is folly;
In which would be causing them strife,
As their mood turns melancholy.
The heart of wise will make his speech,
Persuasive learning from the lips;
That will echo through the outreach,
Like the coffee with gentle sips.
Gracious words are like honeycomb,
Sweetness yet healthy to the soul;
Keeping you from trying to roam,
Lets the Holy Spirit control.
There is a way that does seem right,
But its end is the way to death;
It is not if you see the light,
After taking of your last breath.
The appetite of a doer,
Works if the mouth will urge onward.
Desires of a pursuer,
Of everything that is heard.
An ungodly man plots evil,
Speech is like a scorching fire;
That coincides with the devil,
As wickedness would desire.
A dishonest man will spread strife,
A whisperer separates friends;
Hate and discontent through their life,
The thought of each other offends.
Fury entices a neighbor,
That will lead into violence;
Causing him to use his saber,
That will establish turbulence.
