When We Meet Again ~ Shadows In Time
Maybe you didn't do
all that you should
But I know you loved us
the only way that you could
Our life was not easy
but neither was yours
Back then what you needed
behind so many closed doors
I wish things had been different
and not taken to such lengths
But by you my mold was set
from you I draw my strengths
Strange at life's cards
that seem to randomly play
I wish our price had not been
such a hard painful pay
I look back across
the oh so many years
The memories of you
have dried my tears.
Without what you gave
many memories would not be
Long ago the negative
was forgiven by me.
That day at the Nursing Home
when all debts were paid
It was thru all forgiveness
that peace with God was made
For as much that was bad
so many things were also right
It is these that I rest upon
in the dark of the night.
So rest my mother
no longer let torment win
Today you walk healthy
on the gold path of heaven.
What is of yesterday
is finished, over and gone
I look to the future
when we meet again as one
With memories of
our Shadows in Time

ღ God asked me how long I planned on keeping you in my life.
I smiled and said...
How do I choose between always and forever...
But then I have found that's really not up to me... ღ
