My Love's TrickWritten by Cynthia L.B. Bogear October 9, 2019 Whispers in the shadows of the still moonlight, Echoes in every direction I turn, I cried out reaching for you in every darkened corner, Only to build a wall to sheild the innocent from the pain, My Love, I sought for years leaving my tears to find, My wall became so great I feared it could never break, Then one night the image I had once so many times before, Finally clear to my heart there you were in the older man's body before me, At last I fell into My Love's strong embrace, For a foolish woman I had been as to be blind and not see, I waited so long for My Love to arrive, He had managed to play a trick on me, For he had sneaked in behind me when I couldn't see, Then I saw his eyes as he took my wall from me, My Love had finally come back to me.
