God has been our dwelling place,
Throughout all the generations;
Always there for us to embrace,
Building spiritual foundations.
Before the mountains were brought forth,
Endeavor in forming the earth;
Separating south from the north,
The vastness by showing true worth.
The Lord returns man into dust,
Returning the children of man;
Destruction when they do not trust,
In God not standing by His plan.
For a thousand years in His sight,
As yesterday when it is past;
Merely like a watch in the night,
Immortal as to ever last.
God swept away as with a flood,
They are acting just like a dream;
The grass renewed covered in blood,
In the morning within the scheme.
In the morning it flourishes,
Renewed as the evening fades;
It withers the ground nourishes,
For a new growth that it persuades.
For we brought to the end anger,
By His wrath that we are dismayed;
As many are sloths and linger,
His commandments disobeyed.
God set our iniquities,
Our secret sins in the light;
Because our abilities,
In having been within His sight.
For all our days pass away,
We bring our years to an end;
Under His wrath because we stray,
In which the Lord having offend.
The years of life nears seventy,
Toil and trouble to span;
By reason of strength is eighty,
Flies away and gone by His plan.
Who knows the power of anger,
His wrath according to your fear;
Consider power to languor,
That His forgiveness always near.
