Deal bountiful with Your servant,
That I may live and keep Your Word;
Continues to be reverent,
Faithful to all that I have heard.
Open my eyes that I may see,
The wondrous things out of Your Law;
Makes it more meaningful to me,
The amazement mystical awe.
I am a sojourner on earth,
Hide not Your commandments from me;
So, I can see its total worth,
Honoring of what You decree.
My soul is consumed with longing,
Breaks for the longing of Your rules;
And not to do any wronging,
Like many others who are fools.
You have rebuked the insolent,
Those who are proud that are accursed;
They stray and become violent,
Into evil they are immersed.
Take away from me the contempt,
For I have kept Your testament;
Remove reproach that would attempt,
To compromise Your sacrament.
Although princes plot against me,
I will meditate on Your statutes;
Which is keeping me evil free,
Sticking to spiritual pursuits.
Your testament is my delight,
As my counselor and my coach;
Ensuring what I do is right,
Enables the proper approach.
