As you come unto Him,
Living stone rejected;
Being gloomy and grim,
By men who neglected.
But in the sight of God,
As chosen and precious;
Even though being flawed,
Some are being vicious.
You are like living stones,
A spiritual house built;
Hearing no moans or groans,
Having no sin or guilt.
Be a holy priesthood,
Offer a sacrifice;
Through Jesus as He stood,
Never getting entice.
For it stands in Scripture,
Lay in Zion a stone;
As a chosen creature,
And made of flesh and bone.
Precious that is chosen,
Who would believe in Him;
Whose mind is on Heaven,
and with spiritual vim.
Any that will proclaim,
Shouts for it to be heard;
Will not be put to shame,
Having faith in the Word.
The honor is for you,
For those who do believe;
For knowing what is true,
And what you will receive.
The builders rejected,
What is the cornerstone;
But you have selected,
Of what God does condone.
For a stone of stumbling,
As a rock of offense;
Non-believers grumbling,
Without a good defense.
You are the chosen race,
Of a royal priesthood;
That God is shining grace,
On the land you have stood.
