Vampire Hunter

Who the hunter, and who the prey?
Which will live to see the light of day?
Hunting vampires is not for the meek;
While you hunt them, YOUR blood they seek.

Cross may deter, and mirrors may balk,
Yet remember brave hunter, as you silently stalk;
The prey you hunt is not so easily slain.
Best make certain of your craft, oh child of Cain.

Cloves of garlic must be fresh, and stakes sharp and bright;
For you hunt the deadliest of predators this night.
Not all species of vampire are slain the same way;
A stake through the heart will not always slay.

Some require silver and others weapons sacred and blest;
Soon enough their mettle will be put to the test!
Some undead siphon off blood, others spirit or youth;
Only one way to slay each...but which is the truth?

So hone well your skill, and to your gods sacrifice and pray;
That on THIS darkling night you are hunter, not prey.
