Ice Queen

Wintery smile to chill your soul,
A piercing stare from eyes like coal.
Beauty like a crystalline statue of ice,
Mere sight of her squeezes your heart like a vise.

Your steamiest words will not melt her heart,
Lavish all your love, it won't even start.
The most you will elicit is a reptilian smile,
Like the grin of a hungry crocodile.

Fall in love with her and your cause is lost,
Her heart is encased in solid permafrost.
Her scathing words like darts of stinging hail,
Your passionate entreaties are bound to fail.

She sparkles and shines, glimmers and glows,
Moving through your life like glaciers flow.
Admire the sight, her poise and skill;
Yet offer not your love, for she never will.
