Fret not about evildoers,
Not envious of doing wrong;
They are the darkness pursuers,
Under Satan where they belong.
For they will soon fade like the grass,
Wither and die like the green herb;
They will be breaking like the glass,
That has been left out on the curb.
Trust in the Lord by doing good,
Dwell in the land you shall be fed;
Befriend faithfulness as you should,
Straight and narrow as you tread.
Delight yourself within the Lord,
He will give you your desires;
As you remain in one accord,
He will give what life requires.
Commit your way unto the Lord,
With trust in Him and He will act;
Never letting Him be ignored,
He will be as your benefact.
He will bring forth your righteousness,
As light as bright as the noonday;
For His justice is faithfulness,
A mentor showing you the way.
Rest and be still before the Lord,
As you wait patiently for Him;
As you remain in one accord,
Fret not on who has evil vim.
The man who carries out evil,
Who has prospered in his own way;
Gets his guidance from the devil,
The darkness that has led astray.
Refrain from anger of the wrath,
Fret not yourself of the darkness;
Evil will try to block your path,
Leading down the path of starkness.
Evildoers shall be cut off,
But you shall inherit the land;
Even though the living is tough,
The Lord will be making it grand.
The wicked will soon be no more,
Though look carefully at His place;
He grants the meek an open door,
With abundant peace full of grace.
