The Mind of Poetry
Unfocused Community
I place my hand on my chest,
To feel the breaking of my heart.
Cracking and bleeding of saddness,
Lose of life, I fall apart.
I am so confused,
On how empathy has been lost.
Breaking apart slowly,
Grasping for life, I exhaust.
I take a breath of air,
Twinging pieces of pain.
Splintering fragments scatter,
Oh my heart, uncommon terrain.
I fall to my knees,
Like a broken flag of unity.
I clutch my broken chest tighter,
We are here, unfocused community.
