Why do You stand far away,
Why do you hide in these times;
So many people gone astray,
Performing immoral crimes.
In arrogance of evil,
Hotly pursue on the poor;
Caught in schemes of the devil,
Have devised deep in the core.
The wicked boasts desires,
Greedy curses of the soul;
Doing what it requires,
Power for taking control.
For in the pride of his face,
That the wicked does not seek;
For God will not shed His grace,
Takes advantage of the weak.
His ways prosper at all times,
As His judgments are on high;
Evil will pay for their crimes,
From the God that they deny.
For the Lord says in His heart,
That He shall never be moved;
By those who cannot impart,
Of His Word has not behooved.
Their mouths are filled with cursing,
With deceit and oppression;
Mischievous coercing,
No prayers for intercession.
He sits in ambush lurking,
Hides to murder innocent;
Conniving while working,
Things considered indecent.
For he lurks like a lion,
That he may seize from the poor;
Before they can reach Zion,
For entering through its door.
As the helpless have been crushed,
Sunk down and fell by his might;
Feeling like their soul was flushed,
Through the sewers of the night.
His heart says God forgotten,
The Lord has hidden His face;
As their flesh has felt rotten,
Feeling as though in disgrace.
