Praise the name of the Lord,
Give praise all you servants;
He is loved and adored,
Worship with reverence.
You who stand in the house,
In the courts of the Lord;
Praising God with your spouse,
Being in one accord.
Praise God with heart and soul,
Knowing the Lord is good;
Allow Him in control,
Sing to Him as you should.
For the Lord selected,
Jacob to be His own;
And all those afflicted,
Of the ones He has known.
His peculiar treasure,
Those within Israel;
And has taken pleasure,
People He does appeal.
I know the Lord is great,
And above other gods;
Honoring seals their fate,
Because they are all frauds.
Whatever God pleases,
In Heaven and on earth;
Heavy rain He ceases,
That the land will give worth.
The Lord makes the clouds rise,
Makes lightning and thunder;
Winds blow dust in your eyes,
Thoughts of the mind wonder.
He struck down the firstborn,
Both of man and of beast;
In Egypt they sojourn,
For the Passover feast.
He sent signs and wonders,
To the Egyptian king;
And a tribe that plunders,
Judgment of fate He brings.
Their land a heritage,
He gave to His people;
The Lord for pilotage,
Who serves in the temple.
