Sitting her, alone in the dark;
Searching for inspiration, even a spark.
The soft gentle patter of evening rain,
Relaxing my tension, easing the strain.
I consider my life, and the mess I have made
As I ponder these things, reality does fade.
Visions of dreams and goals I treasured
Slowly sifted and mentally measured.
All those plans and dreams long discarded
All my hopes and schemes closely guarded.
Lightning flares and reality again intrudes;
Time for an end to all mental feuds.
Searching for inspiration, even a spark.
The soft gentle patter of evening rain,
Relaxing my tension, easing the strain.
I consider my life, and the mess I have made
As I ponder these things, reality does fade.
Visions of dreams and goals I treasured
Slowly sifted and mentally measured.
All those plans and dreams long discarded
All my hopes and schemes closely guarded.
Lightning flares and reality again intrudes;
Time for an end to all mental feuds.
