BRING THE OLD WAYS BACK
With times being as they are always
Getting harder all the time it's true
Over due to fence back yards no dogs
And grow vegitables ever fine for you
Keeping them hanging in pantries jars
Building up supplies for days to come
Things you eat ever often all the time
And pickling others bottled and done
Growing here and there a few fruit trees
Placed in syrup stored away shelves high
Bins of self raising flour sugar for cooking
They'll be there when needed can't deny
A small cage for a few chickens no rooters
The likes of climbing beens in a space
Cucumbers green and apple beens too
All there and grown with pride and grace
Meshed over to keep safe from any hail
Like beetroot strawberries raddishes too
A small room they once called the pantry
An old idea from long ago saved heap true
A small tool shed never lend at any time
Nor things grown and stored safely away
It's all about suriving times to later come
And a way worse sometime on another day
If one knows how to preserve You'll do ok
If not there's endless books to thus obtain
Whats more important than your family
Come sunshine or come unexpected rain
