'' Yet You Still Remain In Denial ''

Truth doesn't apply,
When you tell that first lie,
It ensures that another will follow,
Without it you'll die,
There's an endless supply,
Soon your memory then becomes hollow.

Though inside your head,
What is it you said?
For facts you develop a thirst,
It's trouble you've bred,
You are now being led,
By that lie you passed on as the first.

That first one you told,
Is a power to behold,
What you said is now hard to remember,
In a fantasy enrolled,
It now has you controlled,
It burns like a hot burning ember.

Suddenly you've reckoned,
You must tell a second,
That only causes more friction,
Imagination fecund,
Another's then beckoned,
You warp what's fact and what's fiction.

What you forget,
Fills you with regret,
But soon you are left in no doubt,
The bar has been set,
You are in a cold sweat,
You are scared now the truth will come out.

It gives you a chill,
That inevitably it will,
Every second your mind is on trial,
Those lies you spill,
Will eventually kill,
