The Dark Unknown
The Dark Unknown
I've done all I can
I've talked til I'm blue
I've prayed and pleaded
I don't know what more to do
We cover so many years
Of joy tears and pain
With my advice to you
Your happiness is my only gain
Yet I cannot help
When you refuse to learn from past
When you make no effort
To save you from what others cast
You quickly dismiss
My every suggestion
Our friendship is not
A win/lose competition
Ignoring the past
Does not make it go away
Please turn back to Him
He will not lead you astray
There is not one walk in life
That we have not shared
But this one I must bow out
Because of how deeply I cared
When you hurt
So do I
When alone you know not
The tears I cry
Selfish you may think
But I have to save me
I can no longer be sucked in
To the daily cries I'll see
I fear this to be
The final strike three
Your being called out
Will not be enabled by me
What we have built
is shared by few
But this time I cannot walk
Into your dark with you
The echo of your tearful words
keep ripping my heart and mind
Donna I just cant do this!!!!
Yet you go back in totally unblind
How many times
That candle you will touch
Knowing each time you get burnt
Many times I have a hunch
Forever in my heart and prayers
I place you in His hands
As I watch you walk
Into The Dark Unknown

ღ God asked me how long I planned on keeping you in my life.
I smiled and said...
How do I choose between always and forever...
But then I have found that's really not up to me... ღ
