I OFTEN THINK ABOUT
I often think about the gratitude
Appreciation many feel in life true
Within many with nothing at all
Way more than the wealthiest do
I see it within children poor might be
On a street just playing with a tin
With gratitude for the little they have
Smiling as a new day has not long begin
I hear the wealthy complaing about life
No appreciation for basic things it's so
Always wanting more all the very time
I often wonder as through each day I go
Oh I complain at times myself of things
But it's more of those without gratitude
For so much I've done in life for them
No simple smile a wave I feel is rude
So help me if ever I won a mighty lotto
I'd take a knowing soul along with me
And walk the poorest streets like Manila
And set a few thus so from woe all free
The innocen victims of lifes game played
Who by the way are never heard to complain
Taking their lives as is each day at a time
Ssurving with appreciation cold nights rain
If the wealthiest put aside a little of donation
And gave it to some who of this being care so
They themselves would be so ticher within
Having done so feel a better soul to know
I myself have handed a donation to those
With next to nothing so often in my life
Just as so many others have as well done
A little often saves a weight of pure strife
I feel it's all so easy and would be as well
To spare a thought for others poorer yet
I know of a few wealthy that really do
That once were there theselves a safe bet
It should not be a rule a law a have to do
But an apprecation gratitude from within
A gesture from a heart an understanding
That not every soul was thus born to win
