The Backyard Of My Life
Sleepwalker
Sleepwalker tumbling blindly
Through the night
Searching for distant lands in dreams
Leave me in peace silent in slumber
Who knows what far of place ill uncover
3 AM my mind is a whirlpool
Gently drifting into the light
Tip toeing over the clouds
To a castle in the sky
Where the roads are a pathway of ink
Sleepwalker eyes closed like curtains
To hold back the night
Sailing the seven seas in a boat that's a bed
When i reach the golden gates
On a journey inside my head
With feet that can fly
To the soft sweet sound
Of a cuckoos Melancholy cry
Stepping over bridges of Babylon
Enshrouded in serenity sonnets and lullabies
Sleepwalker wrapped up in
Lovely delicious rest
Hiding from day break space and time
Night fishing on the dark side of the moon
Never once looking up for noon
Lost in the forgetful mist of divine
Where rivers run backwards and the grass is blue
Clocks are animals caged in a zoo
Swimming up and down the streams
Caught in a landslide of delightful dreams
Sleepwalker carried away
In an endless wave
Twist and turns in the land of nod
You can touch the face of god
The structure of seconds left far behind
Hypnotic patterns in reverse and rewind
Plasticine trees bend like little willows
Nowhere else exists the promised palace of pillows
Rocking horses and marsh mellow men
Sleepwalker following footprints again
