A writer takes such time at times
To allow the inner peace of mind
Do it's battle with today's lunacies
And deepest memories again to find
Much today takes away time to think
Faster than setting sun has it's way
Stealing as if such precious memories
Promising the unknown yet light of day
The shadows give way to once statues
The gracefullness of once romance
Have faded to such extent often unseen
Having one's soul longing such a chance
The sun itself taken over by mans clocks
Nature is not natural as once any more
An entire earth of to many negatives
Leaving still small waves hugging shore
Life has become careful whats wished for
The heart mind and soul no time deciding
And love is almost only seen in movies
What real love was once gone to hiding
The only truth can at times be found
Within the rarest windows of the soul
Almost all human beings so controlled
Leaving a writers imagination unsold
Religions politics sales and endless adds
Money matters everything has a price
It's all the as it seems seduction of time
A planet gripped by man within his vice
I remember romance as it was long ago
Harder to find now than the purest of gold
No time for romance in this day and age
True love long left in the past of old
Two seldom sit alone on mountains high
Simply gazing at a universe of the stars
Ever far below it's now true seems it's so
Real romance has given way to faster cars
I'm not to sure not at all of late any more
If any know what romance once used to be
I guess today's mess killed it with stress
Seems romance romancing has been set free
