God, I am lonesome tonight
Come and spend some time with me
Because Ian feeling kind of low
I been crying all night
God, can you wipe the tears from my eyes
That is falling from my eyes
I don't know when this sadness will end
You are trying so hard to cheer me up
You even took me for a walk around thee block
The stars and the moon was shining in the sky
It was beautiful to see it
It was a beautiful summer night
And I took me back home
And when I got home I went to bed
I slept very well all through the night
