We Are Never Promised
We are never promised
the dawn of tomorrow;
the sun to rise in morning skies
erasing all our sorrow
We can't always count on
another page to turn
in the story of our lives;
another day to earn
We shan't take for granted
any given day;
for the blessings we receive
too soon will fall away
And while we hope the future
will be always on our side,
keep in mind that always
life flows with the tide
For every breath we take
our lives we renew,
until the clock of life
strikes the hour we are due
