Washed Ashore
I pause to look around
and all that I envision is me
standing like a lone vessel
upon a dark lonely sea
I take no pity in this life I lead
for my path was charted long ago
It is what has molded me as me
the one I've come to know
As I drift aimlessly
with an empty sail
I only wish for a chance
of just once not to pale
Upon this voyage of life
the vessels I have passed
have presented that
which never seems to last
I pray for one
who is pure of heart
and not afraid
to give love it's start
The pain of lost loves
can turn the heart to stone
and leave one lonely,
cold, chilled and alone
So I wait and watch
for one to adore
I pray one day
to be finally Washed Ashore

ღ God asked me how long I planned on keeping you in my life.
I smiled and said...
How do I choose between always and forever...
But then I have found that's really not up to me... ღ
