 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove
Not many of you are teachers,
For you know that we who do teach;
Will be strictly judged as preachers,
By mistakes in our outreach.

For we stumble in many ways,
Stumble being the perfect man;
Because of there are many days,
We stray from the path of His plan.

If we put bits and a bridle,
Attempt to discipline a horse;
While the mind has been idle,
For obeying to stay the course.

Lo and behold the tall sail ships,
So large and driven by strong wind;
A small rudder guiding their trips,
And is properly disciplined.

Also, a small member is the tongue,
Yet it is boasting of great things;
Fiery words boasting are flung,
Little matter the backlash brings.

For the tongue a blazing fire,
A world of iniquity;
Burning flames to heart desire,
Speech turning to vulgarity.

Every kind of beast and bird,
Every creature of the sea;
Able to be tamed by the Word,
Being been tamed by you and me.

But no human can tame the tongue,
Has poisonous restless evil;
Because the breath that fills the lung,
Is corrupted by the devil.

We bless God, the Lord and Father,
But the tongue is sending a curse;
That is flung further and farther,
While the devil will coerce.

Does a spring pour forth sweet water,
Can a fig tree produce olives;
Could a hippo be a potter,
Are you one of Satan’s captives?
