 THE TRAVELING LIFELONG BUSH POET

A  GOOD  MAN

A good man is just that a good man
And a good man he'll always be
He got married and he  then vowed
As from being a good man never free

He never had a single clue back then
His wife was not in any way the same
He always respected her as good men do
Come sunshine in hard times and rain

He was not able to be anything but good
The same as his father was through pain
And of coarse she knew this as well too
That being a good man he'd be again again

He always gave her his money no question
Yet she often talked to him without respect
Some thought of him as a fool thus re-this
But he had a stamina to take on any quest

He felt that she saw him as if a  local bank
But like his father he never cheated any day
As honest was he  as the day it's self was long
Never one to go out alone or to as said play

He was a strong man in himself a good fighter
But only if some went out of their way to stir
And they stayed out of reach re-upset him so
But he always had respect and care for her

However of late the ice wa growing thinner
And he hd by this spent so long feeling lonely
Nothing seem to worry her at all in her life
As a real good man he was and would be only

He wondered why she was as she was always
But never he was you will do what it is I say
She had never held a job since high school
Screamed at him if she could'nt have her way

Well of late he he told her out fronts the gate
In her fifties simply hated sex without reason
He got to think maybe she might rather women
However she never cheated or come on season

So he wore this and in toleration rolled with it
For he was a good man and could not change
From his first birthday he'd been this way
And in all honesty there was  little to rearrange

But love was turning to loneliness faster ssemed
And it was at times driving him out of his mind
For he knew and it's true if anything went wrong
It'd be him they'd blame with fault thus to find

So being a good man and that he was within
He felt karma would one day have it's way
And that  she'd know then the reason why
What happen re these games some women play

She'd spent ages daily on her mobile phone
And yet he never asked but only trusted
Feeling there was worsr off than he was in life
Mostly what he first thought of her had rusted

However what goes around in life comes around
And he just let the candle of life as such burning
He often thought if she ever found another one
That the planet earth would not stop turning

He'd worked hard  for a good forty odd years
Hate was never a word he had ever in life used
But he felt we are all here but to learn in life
Although he felt his happiness had been abused

He always followed his own wisdoms to the letter
And he knew that two wrongs never make a right
She could not cook or keep house as some do
And slepped like a dry log almost every night

But he felt there must be others out there in life
That had and was putting up with worse it's true
But born and bred a good man and that he was
He felt there was not a lot that he could do
