Bless the Lord, O my soul,
All that is within me;
Bless Him taking control,
Giving insight to see.
Bless for His holy name,
Think of His benefits;
Remember to proclaim,
Of what one inherits.
He forgives all your sin,
Heals all your diseases;
His Spirit cleanse within,
You do what He pleases.
He saves you from the pit,
Crowns you with steadfast love;
For those who will commit,
He holds a place above.
He satisfies with good,
That your youth is renewed;
Doing all that you should,
Not arrogant or rude.
The Lord works righteousness,
Justice who are oppressed;
Rewarded pricelessness,
After one has confessed.
He has made known His ways,
To Moses of His acts;
Everyone who obeys,
Enlightened by the facts.
The Lord is merciful,
Always slow to anger;
His love is bountiful,
For those who not languor.
He will not always chide,
Nor anger forever;
For those who will abide,
His love will not sever.
For He knows our frame,
Remembers we are dust;
Our eternal flame,
Lit as we keep the trust.
