 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove
Seek the Lord for He may be found,
Seek the Lord while He is near;
Listen for the trumpet to sound,
To go to worship and revere.

Let the wicked forsake his way,
The unrighteous man for his thought;
They are sheep that have gone astray,
For the evil that they have sought.

Let them return unto the Lord,
That He may have the compassion;
Abundantly pardon not ignored,
If moved to a godly fashion.

For His thoughts are never your thoughts,
Neither are your ways as His ways;
Aggressiveness in causing onslaughts,
Like the lion that stalks its preys.

For Heaven is higher than earth,
So are His ways as much higher;
As His thoughts are having more worth,
Than all your earthly desire.

For as the rain and snow come down,
They do not return to Heaven;
Rather keeps the grass turning brown,
And a bumper harvest given.

So shall His Word that has gone out,
It shall not return as empty;
Rather it will erase the doubt,
Shining its glory with beauty.

You shall be going out in joy,
As you are led forth within peace;
For rebuilding not to destroy,
Praising with song that will not cease.

Instead of thorns come cypress trees,
The myrtle trees and not briers;
His voice responding in the breeze,
Lasting signs of His desires.
