Hear, O Lord, I cry with my voice,
Hear, O Lord, when I cry aloud;
To be gracious as I rejoice,
For being my light as endowed.

Answer me as I seek your face,
Your face, O Lord, that I do seek;
Because I am seeking your grace,
And salvation for I am weak.

Seek my face, my heart, and my soul,
Please do not hide your face from me;
Take the helm and taking control,
Open my eyes so I can see.

From anger turn not your servant,
O You who have rendered my aid;
For my pleas through prayer are fervent,
For courage no longer afraid.

O God, You remain my stronghold,
You are my light and salvation;
I am a lost lamb from Your fold,
For You to build my foundation.

My father and mother forsook me,
But You, O Lord, will take me in;
Cleansing from iniquity,
That has rid me of all my sin.

Please teach me of Your way, O Lord,
That leads me on the level path;
Because my enemies ignored,
Of the warnings about Your wrath.

Deliver me not to the will,
Of my adversaries I plea;
The violence they breathe instill,
Opposition to Your decree.

I do believe that I shall look,
Upon the goodness of the Lord;
In the land of the living shook,
For Your strength no longer ignored.

We wait for You with good courage,
Knowing You strengthening my heart;
For keeping us in one accord,
Through Your Word that we impart.
