WHO CAN BREAK THE CHAINS ?

God's Word tells me - the 
Righteous will flourish as a palm
Tree - and still bear fruit in their old
Age - Good fruit that lasts - that feeds
The hunger of a dying world - ravaged
By disease - and hateful rage .



Oh how we yearn for peace to last 
And sorrow's pain - to vanish and to be
No more - but  - we are told this cannot be 
While sin and darkness - hold their sway - 
And keep mankind - locked within their
Evil power and captivity .


So - who can break the chains - that 
Hold us in this woeful curse  - and deep
Depravity ? - Is there a cure that will reverse
The madness - that can set us free ? - so 
We can live a life - as God intended -
Full of love and joy - and perfect
Harmony ?


I know the cure my friends - His name
Is Jesus - the antidote to every sin as known
To man - His  perfect  blood - was  shed for our 
Redemption - and is availlable - and free
For everyone .


All we must do is turn to Him - in deep
Repentance - and  give our  all - into His 
Loving care - and He will wash away - the 
Stain of our transgressions - and cast
Them from us - so they will hold us
Bound no more .


Then - He will guide us by His Holy 
Spirit - through all the landmines - and 
The rocks  of earth's  despair - and give us 
A Future and a Hope - that will sustain
Us - as we travel forward - knowing
He is always near .


And then - for all who know the 
Saviour - His  plans for us are good 
Continually -  and  we can  be  assured -
That when we leave this world behind
Us - He has promised - we will be
With Him - in Heaven -
Eternally .

I felt led to pen these words at such a
time as this , when there are so many who
are fearful of the days we are living in , and 
the uncertainty of what life holds in store for 
them and their loved ones . 

I believe the only hope the world has ever
had , and will always have , is in Jesus Christ,
and His Saving Grace for us , given at Calvary .

If you don't know of His sacrificial love for you ,
and you would like to , then may I suggest that
you just ask Him to come into your heart right
now , and be your Lord and Saviour .

He will do just that , and He will help you ,and
He will guide you in His way , and forgive and
set you free from all your sins and your past ,
and break the chains that have held you in
their grip , if you ask Him to .
