My Sympathy

What once was glowing youthful skin,
Is sagging now beneath the chin.
Those sparkling eyes are faded blue.
With glasses now she looks at you.

Her smooth white brow is lined with age.
Another year another page.
Her breasts flop down without support.
Her hair is grey I must report.

She wishes she were young again.
Her bones are knarled and full of pain.
She finds this all so very shocking.
She`s almost had to give up walking.

This woman has my sympathy.
But Oh Dear God, that woman`s Me!
